The gear: AR headset and wristband sensor

Hado players wear an AR headset and a wristband sensor to wield energy balls and shields. Through the AR headset, you see both the real world (players, the arena) and the virtual energy balls, life cells, and shields.

It’s an amazing experience! The wristband motion sensor tracks your movements and lets you adjust your skills. Gear up, game on!

Note: Wear sporty shoes and comfortable clothing for maximum freedom of movement.

The game: attack, dodge and defend

You’re ready on the field. Exciting! The screen shows RED vs. BLUE. And then: Hado Fight! Both teams go all in. Energy balls fly back and forth.

You throw energy balls while dodging incoming attacks. You also deploy virtual protective shields. 80 seconds later, it’s over. Who scored the most points?

Define your strategy

Hado is easy to learn. After just a few rounds, you’ll master the basics. Now it’s time to level up and strategize with your team. There are endless offensive and defensive tactics to explore. And then? Game on! Attack, dodge, defend—you’ll keep growing in the game.

You can set your skill set using the wristband sensor. Allocate points to four abilities: bullet speed, bullet size, charge speed, and shield strength. Each team member has unique skills that fit your team’s strategy.

What does hado mean?

Hado is short for the Japanese word hadoken or hadouken, which roughly translates to “fist in a wave motion.” The term originates from fighting games that are hugely popular in Japan.

It was Hiroshi Fukuda who invented the techno sport Hado. He dreamed of turning hadoken into a physical activity—and he succeeded. Since 2014, Hado has been spreading across Japan and around the world.

What's the difference between VR and AR?

In Hado, you wear an AR headset. Most people are familiar with VR by now, but what’s the difference?

With VR, you enter a fully virtual world—you no longer see anything from the real world around you. With AR, the real world blends with a virtual one. The result? A mind-blowing experience!

VR stands for Virtual Reality, while AR stands for Augmented Reality.
